چکیده
Colloids and nanoparticles leached from agricultural land are major carriers of potentially bioavailable nutrients with high mobility in the environment. Despite significant research efforts, accurate knowledge macronutrients colloids is limited. We used multi-elemental synchrotron X-ray fluorescence (XRF) microscopy multivariate spatial analysis atomic absorption near-edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy at P S K-edges, to study speciation two fractions particles, >0.45 <0.45 µm respectively, collected four tile-drained sites Sweden. K-edge XANES showed that organic P, followed by adsorbed surfaces aluminum-bearing particles were most common forms P. Iron-bound (Fe-P) generally less abundant (0–30 % total P). was predominantly organic, a relatively abundance reduced species suggests redox conditions adverse persistence bound Fe-bearing leachates. Acid ammonium-oxalate extractions suggested associated Al Fe (Al-P Fe-P) cases could be explained adsorption capacity non-crystalline (oxalate-extractable) oxides Fe. These results improve our understanding particulate vadose zone helps developing effective technologies for mitigating colloidal driven eutrophication water bodies near land.

Radiation attenuation properties of shields containing micro and Nano WO3 in diagnostic X-ray energy range
Background: It has recently been shown that the particle size of materials used for radiation shielding can affect the magnitude of radiation attenuation. Over the past years, application of nano-structured materials in radiation shielding has attracted attention world-wide. The purpose of this study was to investigate the shielding properties of the lead-free shields containing micro and nano-...
متن کاملInvestigation of the Mass Attenuation Coefficient for Composites Containing Nano and Micro-Particles of Copper Oxide against Diagnostic X-ray
Radiation protection and the selection of suitable materials to reduce radiation effects is one of the important branches of medical science and radiation. In this paper, the mass attenuation coefficients, half value layer thicknesses and thicknesses of 0/5 mm lead of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composites containing Nano and micro-particles of copper oxide are calculated using experimental method...
متن کاملApplication of nano- and micro-sized particles of cattle manure on soybean growth
Background: Cattle manure (CM) is the most common organic fertilizer used by farmers. However, its usually slow decomposition leads to the use of chemical fertilizers. Therefore, experiments on nano- and micro-sized particles of CM were conducted to evaluate the possibility of accelerating its decomposition in soil. Methods: The effects of a sole application of CM in different sizes (nano-, mi...
متن کاملHormesis Effects of Nano- and Micro-sized Copper Oxide
The concerns about the possible risk of manufactured nanoparticles (NPs) have been raised recently. Nano- and micro-sized copper oxide (CO and CONP) are widely used in many industries. In this regard, in-vitro studies have demonstrated that CONP is a toxic compound in different cell lines. Despite their unique properties, NPs possess unexpected toxicity profiling relative to the bulk m...
متن کاملComplementary Phosphorus Speciation in Agricultural Soils by Sequential Fractionation, Solution P Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, and Phosphorus K-edge X-ray Absorption Near-Edge Structure Spectroscopy.
Ultisols in China need phosphorus (P) fertilization to sustain crop production but are prone to P loss in runoff. Balancing P inputs and loss requires detailed information about soil P forms because P speciation influences P cycling. Analytical methods vary in the information they provide on P speciation; thus, we used sequential fractionation (SF), solution P nuclear magnetic resonance (P-NMR)...
